Your Fly Fishing Plans for 2007

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is absolutely hard for me to believe Reel Women Fly Fishing Adventures was a small idea fifteen years ago. Since then, a network of fish crazed women and men have met each other on trips, and we continue to feed our passion for fly fishing. At a time of the year when many rivers are no longer liquid, it's nice to think about warm summer days and hungry trout. During this "off" season, it's great to hear from our friends and talk about plans for the future. It may be our desire to catch "Mr. Big" or luck into a full blown hatch and find feeding fish everywhere, but it is the people we meet along the way that make the fish story special. And what is Reel Women Fly Fishing Adventures? A great combination between a guide staff that cares about you, and you, who make our way of life worthwhile. Thank You, and I hope we see you this year. "Cast to your dreams!"
Co-Ed Guide School Date Change and Information
How to Set Up a Driftboat
We changed the CoEd Guide School. New Dates: Arrive May 12th, Craig, Montana. Depart May 19th, 2007. We will be staying at the beautiful Flyway Ranch, located right on the great Missouri River. We have hosted trips from the Flyway Ranch and we are excited to return. We believe it will provide the best conditions for the guide school this year. This is an all-inclusive fly fishing intensive with a strong focus on rowing a driftboat for fly fishermen. It is learner driven, so you don't have to be an expert to take advantage of this opportunity. The focus is on guiding, but several people have taken the course for thier own study in fly fishing and owning confidence rowing a driftboat. This is one of our favorite trips because we share our passion for guiding.
There are a few spaces left. Please call Lori-Ann Murphy 406-285-5218 or email fish@reel-women.com. All-inclusive CoEd Guide School: $2495.00
Fly Fishing Camp on the Bow River this September!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

By popular demand, we put together a great camp trip on the Bow River in Calgary, Alberta. This is a very special trip for anyone who loves to fish hard all day and then be spoiled in a deluxe camp! Eric Grinnell's Silvertip Outfitters is the oldest guide service on the Bow River still operating under the original owner. Their slogan is: "Nobody knows this section of the Bow River like our guides!" Eric boasts about his guide staff, explaining that they are experienced and mature, and love to fish hard all day. I have not stayed in this camp, but my friends who have say it is first-rate.

Meals are everything you would expect from a fancy lodge, except this lodge is on the river. Hot showers and bathroom facilities add to the full accommodations of a first-rate river camp. The end of August is prime time for the Bow, and the best time to catch surface feeding fish. Clients are taken to their private mooring spot on the lower Bow, about 35 minutes from Calgary. Having the boats on the river means they do not go through the time consuming work of trailering each day. They use large comfortable flat bottomed jon boats with pedestal seats, which take two anglers and guide. The boats are equipped with outboard jet motors that allow returning upstream. Fishing is from the boat in normal drift boat fashion, and wade fishing, as circumstances dictate.

Arrival night and last night before departure will be spent at the Hospitality Inn. This is a luxury atrium style hotel with two fly shops within walking distance. I hope you can join me for a great Reel Women Fly Fishing Adventure on the Bow!

August 25, 2007 - Arrive Calgary, Alberta. Stay at Hospitality Inn (rate is $100 US per night per room). Guides pick us up and we go fishing. Fish August 26, 27, 28, 29. Return to Hospitality Inn the night of the 29th. August 30,2007 depart from Calgary, Alberta. $1995.00, all-inclusive except Hospitality Inn. Instruction and fishing with Lori-Ann Murphy. Call or email Lori-Ann Murphy 406-285-5218 or fish@reel-women.com.
